When you are on the roadways in and around Philly, you know there are risks. However, you do your best to drive safely. Unfortunately, that does not mean you will avoid every accident. If you or a loved one have been injured in a crash that was caused by the negligence of another person, please seek legal assistance.

At the Law Offices of Greg Prosmushkin, P.C., we are ready to help you when you need a Lawyer. Today, we are going to highlight a recent crash and then discuss what we can do for you after a crash.

So Many Crashes Are Tragic Incidents

We have learned that a Recent Crash that happened on Roosevelt Boulevard claimed the life of two teenagers and injured another person. The incident occurred late in the evening on June 2 when a 19-year-old lost control of his Nissan, hit another vehicle on the roadway, swiped a tree, and crashed into a house.

Both teenage passengers inside the Nissan died at the scene of the crash. The woman inside the vehicle struck was injured and transported. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

The house that was struck was occupied, but there were no injuries reported.

Police are working to determine what caused the crash but they believe that speed played a role. Roosevelt Boulevard is a particularly dangerous road in Philly. Almost two dozen people died on the road last year and over the last four years, 139 people have been injured or killed in 2,700 crashes on the road.

How Common Are Crashes?

We know that vehicle crashes are a reality in and around the Philadelphia area. For the latest reporting year, there were over 128,000 crashes that caused over 80,000 injuries. It is not uncommon for us to see the following as a result of crashes in the area:

  • Broken and dislocated bones
  • Severe lacerations
  • Internal organ damage
  • Internal bleeding
  • Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Whiplash injuries
  • Traumatic Brain Injuries
  • Concussions

Many of these injuries require extensive medical treatment. If a crash victim cannot work while they recover, they will lose income they need to support themselves and their loved ones. When a person’s negligent or careless driving behavior causes harm to innocent people, they need to be held accountable for their actions.
