What Happened in This Lionville Case?

Today, we want to bring you a story that is out of nearby Lionville that recently Claimed the Life of One Young Man and seriously injured two others. All three victims were recent high school graduates.

The incident happened on May 8 on Route 113 and involved an SUV and a school bus. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. We do not know yet who was at fault, but we can see the carnage in the photos of the incident. They show a black SUV severely damaged after slamming into the side of a School Bus.

There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash and the driver of the school bus was not injured.

In almost all cases, passengers inside of a vehicle are going to face injuries in a collision with a bus. Buses typically weigh much more than regular passenger vehicles. Regardless of who is at fault in a bus versus Vehicle Crash, these accidents can become mass casualty incidents.

While this bus thankfully had no passengers on board at the time of the crash, many times there are passengers who are unrestrained. In a crash, they can end up with serious injuries.

It is not uncommon for us to see the following injuries in the aftermath of a bus crash (for bus passengers as well as others involved):

In some cases, these incidents are caused due to the negligence of a bus driver or the failure of a bus company to properly inspect and maintain their vehicles. When this happens, the negligent party needs to be held responsible for any injuries.
